Dr. Joanna Ayoub is a highly-trained and compassionate foot and ankle surgeon who provides a comprehensive approach to treatment. With over 15 years of experience, she also holds advanced ankle surgery privileges, a credential held by less than 1% of licensed podiatrists in New York State.

Dr. Ayoub is a native New Yorker who graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University prior to completing a 4-year program at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed rigorous training in a surgical residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University, a level-1 trauma center in Philadelphia, PA, where she also served as Chief Resident. She is the former Director of the Podiatry Department at BronxCare Health System where she held that position for 10 years before venturing into private practice.

In her patient-centered, state-of-the-art practice, surgery is only considered after conservative therapy options have been exhausted. Alternative therapies can include physical therapy, pain management, strapping/padding, orthotics, and cutting-edge PRP/stem cell regenerative medicine techniques.
